Funny you say that. I’ve started rewatching the original series on my own like a guilty little secret because I just don’t want to hear anyone’s opinions on it. That said, it’s been nice reading all your reviews (very belatedly) of the new series after I watch with my daughter because your views seem to align pretty neatly with mine. So thank you for that! Our rewatch has slowed right down now Matt Smith isn’t in it, however. She has struggled to accept every new Doctor for a few eps, but Matt Smith became her absolute favourite and the “old man” doesn’t cut it. I keep trying to reassure her that at least he doesn’t spend the entire time snogging people like the others do.
