Me (53 year old man) and my eldest son (23) absolutely loved this episode and have re-watched it multiple times. It seemed like the freshest thing the series had done for a long time, yet with a certain amount of continuity, yet without the Tennant/Piper smugness, yet with subtle nuances that made you view it in a different way every 5 minutes, yet without being mawkish or preachy. OK, that's a lot of "yet's".
